Jill Coit is a young woman who'd been married eleven times before marrying Gerald Boggs, only for their money. When Boggs found out, he divorced her. Disguised as a man in denim clothing with a fake moustache and her hair tied in a ponytail, she and her boyfriend killed him to search for the jackpot.

Before she met Boggs, her third husband William Coit was found shot to death in Houston, Texas. He was shot three times in the back with a small caliber pistol, similar to Boggs' murder. Despite being the prime suspect, she was never convicted for the murder.

Jill married Boggs simply to get money. She married him after telling him she was pregnant, but it was a lie. When some friends pointed out that she wasn't showing up, Gerald Boggs had a private investigator dig in to Jill's past. When the P.I. told Gerald that she had been married to eleven other men, some at the same time, Gerald annulled the marriage. Cut off from money, Jill decided to get revenge.

On October 22, 1993, Jill and her boyfriend infiltrated Boggs house. When Gerald appeared, Jill tasered him to the floor. Then, she encouraged Michael to hit Gerald again and again with a shovel. After Gerald's head was bleeding profusely with his head split open, she fatally shot him three times in the back with a .22 caliber pistol.

Shortly after murdering Boggs, Jill called her son Seth at the Bed & Breakfast they worked at. She told him of the murder, saying, "Baby, it's over and it's messy." Seth testified against his mother, securing her conviction and sentence of life in prison without parole.
